This course is designed as a study of the history and philosophy of criminal justice and its ethical considerations.  The nature and impact of crime is explored, and instruction includes an overview

      and study of the criminal justice system, law enforcement, the court systems, prosecution and defense, trial processes, and corrections and penal systems.

    We will also delve into the very active world of civil law to obtain a better understanding of its background, processes, and why we are such a litigious society.
